THINK YOUR MORNING COMMUTE IS BAD? TRY THIS ON FOR SIZE…

Although it appears to be the last ride you would ever want to be on, villagers of the small remote village of Yushan are forever grateful for their sole link to the outside world.

This tremendous device stretches an astonishing 1 kilometers at about 1,500 above the forest floor. Built and ran by one man, villagers rely heavily upon the cable cars and for the first time are able to send their children to school.

Although it doesn’t offer much comfort or concealment, villagers are happy to take the ride when needed.
