MAN TRANSFORMS HOMETOWN’S HUTS & MUD ROADS INTO LUXURY APARTMENTS FOR FREE..
54-year-old businessman Xiong Shuihua grew up in Xiongkeng village in southern China. In his home town, residents resided in wooden huts and the only way to commute was by travelling along the mud roads linking the small town. His humble beginnings would eventually lead him to a job in the steel industry, one that would blossom into a highly lucrative and successful career.
But this isn’t meant to be a piece about the success of one man. It’s about his actions, and how those actions transformed the lives of many people who at one point in time cared for him during his childhood.
Until his return, The way of life and living conditions in Xiongkeng village remained highly unchanged.
In an expression of gratitude, Mr. Shuihua embarked on a project to completely demolish and rebuild every home in the village.
He also took the liberty of replacing the mud roads with pavement..
If that isn’t philanthropic enough, Mr. Shuihua also promised to provide 3 daily meals to the elderly and low income families.
