12 MILLION + IN ANTIQUE VEHICLES DISCOVERED AFTER 50 YEARS OF HIDING
After sitting untouched for almost 50 years, yes five whole decades, these beautiful examples of true craftsmanship have finally been uncovered. The collection of high end vehicles spans from the early 1900’s all the way up to the 70’s and was put together by a gentleman named Roger Baillon.
Baillon, an entrepreneur who ran a transport company based in the west of France, began amassing his collection with the intent of fully restoring and presenting the vehicles in a museum style setting. More importantly, his ultimate goal was to conserve the heritage of pre-war automobiles for future generations to both admire and appreciate. While we are grateful for the the recent find and what it means for car collectors, the dreams of Mr. Baillon would be shattered in the early 70’s due to business suffering a setback. It was at this point that Roger Baillon was forced to sell off some fifty cars from his fleet, finalizing the end to what started as such a promising venture. From that point on, the vehicles have sat untouched in makeshift iron barns and out buildings.

Pierre Novikoff, motor car specialist declared : ” These sleeping Beauties are clothed in the precious patina of time gone
by. A collection like this can’t fail to arouse the passions of those who love automobiles, as well as art and history enthusiasts.
Never again, anywhere in the world, will such a treasure be unearthed! “
